If you’re new to long flights, there are a few things you need to know. Get up to stretch and walk around at least once an hour. Wear comfy clothes and shoes. And don’t board the plane without these 8 things in your carry-on.

1. Travel Pillow

Memory foam pillows take up less room than regular pillows. And they never lose their support, unlike more-compact inflatable pillows.

2. Noise Cancelling Headphones

Tune out the crying baby and tune in to your music and movies. Invest in a pair with Bluetooth to avoid managing tangled cords. I prefer over the ear headphones over earbuds for long flights.

3. Eye Mask & Ear Plugs

Block out your neighbor’s reading light and chatting so you can get some rest! These are super dark and comfy. They got me through a month on graveyard shift without losing my sleep and sanity!

4. Tablet or Phone

Make sure your tech is filled with movies, music, books, and more to keep you entertained, no matter how long your flight. The Kindle is a great option to keep your Amazon library with you wherever you go.

5. Avene Face Spray

I love this mineral water spray to refresh after your flight and boost hydration. This one by Avene is my favorite. It’s hydrating without residue or scent.

6. Blanket Scarf or Sarong

Get something big enough to use as a blanket or pillow in a pinch. This is a great thing to have in your travel arsenal because it can be used and worn so many ways.

7. Refillable Water Bottle

Stay hydrated on your flight! Refillable bottles are TSA and environment-friendly. We love Hydro Flask bottles because they stay cold all day long!

8. Portable Power Bank

I bring this one with us on every trip. It’s great for long flights or when all of the airport outlets are taken. And it’s so small, it’s easy to pack in any bag.

  1. Every single time I’ve travelled out of the country, I always get annoyed how my face starts feeling icky being in a plane for so long! Sometimes, face wipes just don’t cut it! I can’t believe I never thought of a face spray!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
